Book your flights

Dates

The earlier the better! booking in January is already possible and we strongly recommend you don’t wait too long to book your flights.

Also, jetlag’s a real bitch! Try to land at the latest on September 20th, as the wedding is on the 22nd and you’ll need at least 2 days to recover from jet lag

Direct flight

Most airlines will offer direct (with of without an intermediate stop) flights to Bali, which is easier but (slightly) more expensive. For some, flying uninterrupted for 12+ hours may not be comfortable however, so plan accordingly.

We recommend Flying with Qatar Airlines, as they have a midway stop in Doha which nicely cuts the trip around the halfway point (6hrs to Doha, then another 8-9 hours to Bali).

Transfer through Jakarta

Flying to Jakarta then taking a domestic flight to Bali is also an option which can sometimes be cheaper. However, transitting through Jakarta’s airport can be a hassle and we don’t recommend it unless you already have experience traveling to Indonesia.

Airport pickup

Once you land in Bali, you may be a bit overwhelmed with the taxis as you leave the airport. We suggest you book your airport pickup in advance, either through Traveloka or Gojek.
